PITTSBURGH —ย Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Broderick Jones has been held back by right elbow injury that he suffered early on in training camp. Since then, Jones has been wearing a large, bulky brace on his right arm that seems to have limited the effectiveness of his punch and sapped his explosiveness.

Thursday at practice, Jones ditched the big brace for the first time, working with a smaller elbow pad. It’s not clear if that was just for the non-padded practice, or if Jones is now able to move on from his bigger brace full time.

In addition to his arm being feed, Jones was working both left and right tackle sets in individual periods.

Elsewhere, Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson continues to be a limited participant in practice, unable to even fully carry out a fake in a handoff drill.

Finally, Najee Harris, who was given a rest day on Wednesday, was back on Thursday, leading the backs and receivers through a ball security drill.
