Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth catches passes and does blocking drills during the team’s practice at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 as he works his way back from the concussion that held him out in Week 6.

Freiermuth was replaced by Zach Gentry and Connor Heyward in the team’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but appears to be set for a return. He was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. The Steelers’s second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Freiermuth had his third run-in with the NFL concussion protocol in just over a season and a third in the league, but has been very productive when healthy. He has 20 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown so far this season.
