PITTSBURGH – Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth left Sunday’s game against Tennessee in the third quarter with a possible concussion, and will not return.

Freiermuth made a catch for a third-down conversion on the Steelers’ long scoring drive in the third quarter, but took a hard, high hit from Titans cornerback Kristian Fulton. Freiermuth maintained possession and even stayed on his feet before being later tackled. Fulton was called for a personal foul on the play.

He was originally just reported as being under evaluation before being downgraded to out for the rest of the game.

Freiermuth, who had four receptions for 37 yards by that point in the game, was replaced by Zach Gentry in the Steelers’ starting lineup.

Pittsburgh was already playing without co-starter Eric Ebron and third-team tight end Kevin Rader, who both did not dress with injuries.
