Aaron Rodgers helps Steelers playoff chances

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Green Bay Packers on Week 4 of the 2021 NFL season, with their Oct. 3 visit to Lambeau Field scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. kickoff on CBS, Steelers Now has confirmed.

The game was first reported by Marques Eversoll of WDUZ in Green Bay.

The Steelers will be visiting Green Bay for the first time since 2013, a 38-31 Steelers win. The last game between the teams was also a Steelers victory, a 31-28 triumph in Pittsburgh in 2017.

The Steelers have won the last five regular-season meetings between the teams, but Green Bay was victorious in Super Bowl XLV in 2011. The Packers lead the all-time series, 19-16 after winning the first nine meetings between the clubs, starting in Pittsburgh’s inaugural season of 1933.

The Packers are coming off a 13-3 season that saw them advance to the NFC Championship game before losing to eventual Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay, but the 2021 outlook for Green Bay has been muddled by uncertainty surrounding disgruntled starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has reportedly requested a trade from Green Bay.

The Steelers will have two tough road trips in the first four weeks of their 2021 schedule. The NFL announced earlier on Wednesday that the Steelers’ Week 1 game will be at Buffalo.
