Still Think the Steelers Didn’t Make Enough Changes? | Steelers Morning Rush

Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it’s the aftermath of Wednesday’s trade of wide receiver George Pickens.
Head coach Mike Tomlin took a lot of grief this offseason for promising to make changes and failing to deliver on that promise. That’s not what he said, at any rate, but even taken at face value, the team will enter the 2025 season with a new left tackle, an entirely new quarterback room, a new starting running back and a new starting wide receiver. Is that enough change for you?
The decision to jettison Pickens, combined with recent similar moves with Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson, also blows up a familiar taking point. It’s pretty clear that there are consequences for bad behavior under Tomlin.
Alan breaks it down.
