Sunday’s matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders could be a rowdy one — in the stands.
The survey polled NFL fans to see which opposing fanbase they thought was the rowdiest. The fans of the Philadelphia Eagles topped the list — appropriate for a fanbase that once booed Santa Claus — followed by the flaming tables crashing Bills Mafia, and then fans of the Dallas Cowboys, Raiders and Steelers.
The Steelers should be pretty used to the rowdiness in the crowd after playing at Buffalo last week, and they’ve been looking forward to getting back in front of their fans at Heinz Field.
“I don’t want to think too much about it because it’d probably be too exciting,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. “So I’m trying to temper my excitement right now.”
While the mask and shoulder-pad costumed Raiders fans from the Black Hole are settling into their new digs in Las Vegas this year, at least some will likely make the trek to Heinz Field, where they’ll be greeted by the first full crowd of Steelers fans at Heinz Field since 2019.
