The Draft Network Projects Nevada QB Carson Strong to Steelers in Mock 2022 NFL Draft
Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network projected that the Pittsburgh Steelers will draft Nevada quarterback Carson Strong with the No. 20 overall pick in the first round of his mock 2022 NFL Draft released this week.
Strong declared a year early for the draft on Dec. 15. In three seasons as Nevada’s starter, Strong threw for 9,379 yards, completed 68.1% of his passes and threw for 74 touchdowns to 19 interceptions. He finished eighth in the nation in passing yards and touchdowns
Crabb projected that Strong will be the fourth quarterback taken after Pitt’s Kenny Pickett, Ole Miss’ Matt Corral and North Carolina’s Sam Howell.
Also on the board for the Steelers at that pick would have been Texas A&M guard Kenyon Green and Mississippi State tackle Charles Cross.
