The Watts Team Up with UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation
Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt and his wife Dani announced on Sunday that they will be ambassadors for UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation over the next two years to bring awareness to the future of pediatric healthcare. T.J. and Dani are expecting a baby in February of 2025.
“As we move into our next chapter of life, parenthood, we are proud to step up for not only our child, but for children all over our community. Dani and I are humbled and excited to announce that we will be ambassadors for UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation over the next two years,” the Watts wrote in a joint statement on Instagram. “As the Foundation embarks on their fundraising campaign, This Moment, we are honored to bring awareness to the future of pediatric healthcare.”
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, who visits Children’s Hospital every Tuesday during the season, commended the Watts for their new journey and giving back to the community.
“So cool! Keep impacting! @tjwatt90 & @danimariewatt ??????,” Wilson wrote on Instagram.
T.J. and his wife Dani have been frequent visitors at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh over the years. In 2022, the Watts provided Christmas dinner to patients and their families during the holidays.

T.J. and Dani, a former professional soccer player, got married on July 9, 2022 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple first met as student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin.
“When I was a little girl I never thought I’d find someone special enough to ever change my last name… But I found him and couldn’t be happier to share a name with the man of my dreams,” Dani wrote on Instagram after their wedding.
