PITTSBURGH — Three Pittsburgh Steelers starters were all held out of practice due to injury on Wednesday as the team began its preparations for its Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens, but only Alex Highsmith is expected to miss the game.

Highsmith, Najee Harris and Donte Jackson all did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Highsmith suffered a left ankle sprain late in Sunday’s win over the Washington Commanders, and is expected to miss at least the next two weeks. Highsmith was in good spirits in the locker room, getting around in a walking boot on a cart. He said the video looked worse than the injury actually turned out to be, and he feels like he dodged a bullet.

Harris also suffered an ankle injury against the Commanders, but he was able to return to the game. He said on Sunday night that he was expected to have an MRI on Monday and would learn more about the injury then. Head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he expected Harris to be limited in practice this week, but does not expect his availability for the Ravens game to be in question.

Jackson has missed the ends of multiple games this season, but has not missed a start. The veteran cornerback has been playing through a shoulder sprain, and now added a hamstring injury that caused him to miss Wednesday’s practice, but he is also expected to play, Tomlin said on Tuesday.

Veteran tight end MyCole Pruitt also did not practice on Wednesday. He’s been held out of practices here and there since returning from a knee injury earlier this season. Wide receiver Van Jefferson was a new addition to the injury report. The extent of his quad injury is unclear.

Wide receiver Calvin Austin III returned to practice on Wednesday and was not even listed on the team’s injury report after briefly leaving Sunday’s game to be checked for a concussion.
