The rumor of Tom Brady signing with Tennessee got officially squashed today as the Titans will bring back Ryan Tannehill.

Accoding to NFL Insider Jeff Darlington was first to report that Tannehill and the Titans have agreed on a new four-year extension worth $118 million. Reportedly, $62 million is fully guaranteed with $42 million of it is guaranteed in the first two years.

The former first round pick of the Dolphins had his career revitalized after getting traded to Tennessee. After head coach Mike Vrabel benched Marcus Mariota, Tannehill, combined with the dominance of Derrick Henry, led the Titans to the AFC Championship Game.

In 12 games, the 31-year old passed for over 2,700 yards, 22 touchdowns and completed 70.3% of his passes.

Because of his relationship with Vrabel and the fact that the Titans will be a contender again in 2020, rumors surfaced that Brady was a possible landing spot for Brady but that’s now off the table.
