It’s been a tough spring for Mason Rudolph, who lost his status as the Steelers presumptive 2022 starting quarterback, and reportedly has also lost his relationship with tennis star Genie Bouchard.

While his relationship with the Steelers starting quarterback position may be on shaky ground after the addition of veteran Mitch Trubisky, all hope has not yet been lost for Rudolph in that regard.

That is in contrast to his personal life and the news that his relationship with tennis star Bouchard is officially over. TMZ reported Thursday that the couple has broken up. Rudolph and Bouchard are believed to have stared dating in 2020. There’s currently no known reason for the split, but one source did reportedly tell TMZ the decision was amicable.

Bouchard, 28, is a Montreal, Quebec native that made the Wimbledon finals in 2014 and represented Canada in the 2016 Olympic Games. She suffered a shoulder injury last season.

Rudolph, who the Steelers drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, has posted a 5-4-1 record with 2,366 yards, 16 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions in three seasons when under center. He, Trubisky and Dwayne Haskins are expected to battle to be the team’s starting quarterback this spring and summer.
