The Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL released their uniforms for the 2022 season, retaining the purple and orange look of the original franchise, with an updated look.
The “home” uniforms are purple with an orange shoulder yoke and white numbers with orange trim. The “away” uniforms are white with a purple shoulder yoke and purple numbers with orange trim. Both have white pants with purple stripes and purple socks. The helmet is purple with a thick orange stripe and white and orange logo.
The look is similar to that of the original Maulers, who had purple home jerseys with white numbers and orange trim, purple helmets with a white stripe and wore gray pants at home.
Home and away will have minimal distinction other than jerseys in 2022, as all eight USFL teams will be playing their home games in Birmingham, Alabama.
Pittsburg fans will have a decent chance to see the team in the region if the Maulers make the playoffs, as the divisional finals and championship game will be held at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio this summer.
