Warren Sapp Takes Shots at Steelers DE Cam Heyward

It is unclear what Warren Sapp’s problem with Cam Heyward is, but the Hall of Famer used an innocuous Sunday Night Football promo as an opportunity to take a shot at the Steelers defensive end.

Late Sunday night, Sapp tweeted a picture of NBC’s Steelers-Chargers promo with a strangely disrespectful caption seemingly questioning Heyward’s stature as one of the league’s best.

“Who’s #97,” Sapp asked.

After a fan reminded Sapp that it was Heyward, he responded with another tweet questioning the Pittsburgh captain’s credentials.

“How many sacks he got bro,” he added.

As for Heyward, he is taking the slight as extra motivation.

Not only did Sapp’s barbs come out of nowhere, but they are also strangely criticizing a player who could very well be the NFL’s best defensive lineman this season.

Heyward has tallied 4.5 sacks, seven tackles-for-loss, six passes defended, a forced fumble and an interception on the year.

He is seeking his third First-Team All-Pro selection and fifth-straight Pro Bowl nod.
