Watch: Browns LB Jadeveon Clowney Penalized for Throwing Chase Claypool’s Shoe
PITTSBURGH — The Steelers’ drought of a first-half touchdown is finally over. However, their drive should have been over long before that. Still, the Browns gave Pittsburgh a gift they would not turn down.
Browns edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney, after a third-down stop on a tunnel screen to Chase Claypool, decided to throw Claypool’s shoes fifteen yards. As a result, he was hooked up with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, thus extending the Steelers’ drive.

Clowney’s rationale for this is anyone’s guess. However, the Steelers certainly will not turn that one down. The Steelers currently lead the Browns 7-0 in the second quarter after the extended drive led to a Ben Roethlisberger to Diontae Johnson touchdown for Pittsburgh.
