When the Pittsburgh Steelers needed it most, rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett and second-year running back Najee Harris delivered. As the clock ran below a minute, Pickett avoided a rusher and zipped the ball to Harris, who had motioned out of the backfield and run up the left sideline.

Calling the game, NBC color commentator Cris Collinsworth had high praise for the throw, which he described as being perfect.

“I’m just telling you, if Patrick Mahomes made this play, we would be putting it right in the Hall of Fame,” he said of Kenny Pickett’s clutch showing. “That’s a Patrick Mahomes kind of magical moment in the clutch part of a football game that sets quarterbacks apart.”

The connection wound up being the biggest play in the crucial matchup, capping an 11-play, 80-yard drive that serves as yet another example of Pickett’s progression in his first year behind center. He led a game-winning series last week, as well, against Las Vegas.

This march lasted 3:20 and the score put Pittsburgh up for good.

It also keeps the Steelers alive in the playoff race. They’ll need a little bit of help in sneaking into the postseason, but will surely be focused on their clash with Cleveland first and foremost.

All in all, pretty good revenge for Kenny Pickett, who was knocked out of the last game against the Ravens with a concussion.
