Steelers 2025 Schedule: What We Know So Far

The Pittsburgh Steelers schedule will not be fully released until Wednesday evening, as the NFL flexes the chokehold it has on the collective American consciousness by pre-scheduling the announcement of its schedule and turning it into primetime television.
Until then, we’re left to piece through what we can learn from leaks and from other announcements about the way the Steelers schedule will look this fall.
We’ve known the Steelers 2025 opponents for months, and we also know the familiar rules about the maximum of six prime-time games, along with the usual quirks of the NFL schedule. Let’s dive in:
STEELERS 2025 OPPONENTS
Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks
Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Los Angeles Chargers.
STEELERS 2025 SCHEDULE

Week 1, Sept. 7: The Steelers will start their season with the trip to the Big Apple, as Matt O’Leary of Just Jets Pod reports that the Steelers will visit the New York Jets for a Week 1 game that could include both starting quarterbacks playing for the opposite team they did in 2024.
The Jets have already signed and plan to start former Steelers backup Justin Fields, while the Steelers continue to pursue released former Jets starter Aaron Rodgers.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have a 1:35 p.m. home game against the Milwaukee Brewers, so the only way the Steelers could have hosted a home game for their opener is if it was on Sunday or Monday Night Football.

Week 2, Sept. 14: Donny Chedrick of 93.7 The Fan reports that the Steelers will face the Seattle Seahawks for a Week 2 home opener. That’s a spicy early season game, with DK Metcalf getting an early crack at his former team.
The Pirates are on the road, so this was always a likely fit for the Steelers home opener.

Week 3, Sept. 21: The Steelers will once again head to the Northeast in Week 3, with a 1 p.m. kickoff against the New England Patriots, according to a report by Kirk Minihane of Barstool Sports.

Week 4: Steelers vs. Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park, Dublin, 9:30 a.m., NFL Network
Week 5, Oct. 5: The Steelers will have a Week 5 bye after making the trip to Europe to play the Vikings, according to Zachary Smith of Steelers Now.

Week 6, Oct. 12: The Steelers will start AFC North play with a game against the Cleveland Brows on Oct. 12, per Zachary Smith of Steelers Now.
Week 7, Oct. 19:

Week 8, Oct. 26: Another former club of Aaron Rodgers is on the schedule, as the Steelers will host the Green Bay Packers for a Sunday Night Football contest, per Zachary Smith of Steelers Now.
Week 9, Nov. 2:

Week 10, Nov. 9: The Steelers will make their one and only trip to Los Angeles to play the Chargers on Sunday Night Football, according to Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.
Week 11, Nov. 16:

Week 12, Nov. 23: The Steelers will visit the Chicago Bears in Week 12, according to a report by Zachary Smith of Steelers Now.

Week 13, Nov. 30: The Steelers will host the Buffalo Bills in a nationally televised home game with a 4:25 p.m. kickoff, according to a report by Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.
That means the Steelers will not play on Thanksgiving Day.
Week 14, Dec. 7:

Week 15, Dec. 14: The Steelers will host the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football on Dec. 15, according to Dolphins writer Jason Sarney.. That should be a cold one for the visiting Fins.

Week 16, Dec. 21: The Steelers are headed to the Motor City just before Christmas, with Andrew Filipponi of 93.7 The Fan reporting that the Steelers will visit the Detroit Lions on Dec. 21.
Week 17, Dec. 28: The Steelers won’t play on Christmas Day. Christmas Day games: Lions at Vikings, Cowboys at Commanders, Broncos at Chiefs
There’s also a Saturday night game on Peacock this week.

Week 18, Jan. 4: The Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, according to Zachary Smith of Steelers Now.
There are no Thursday or Monday Night Football games in the final week of the season, and all games are scheduled with their date and time TBD. This is almost always an AFC North game.
