Which 2025 NFL Draft Picks Do Steelers Have Left?
Omar Khan and the Pittsburgh Steelers made a number of roster moves ahead of the trade deadline on Tuesday. Not only did the Steelers finally acquire a wide receiver in Mike Williams, but they also bolstered their edge rusher depth by landing Preston Smith. Those moves came with the price of two of the Steelers 2025 NFL Draft picks.
The cost of these acquisitions included a fifth-round pick and a seventh-round pick. The Steelers will send one of their two fifth-round picks to the New York Jets for Williams and one of their three seventh-rounders to the Green Bay Packers for Smith.
They did not make any outbound trades to acquire any further draft capital. As it stands, the Steelers hold the typical amount of seven picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Here’s a snapshot of the Steelers picks in the 2025 NFL Draft after Tuesday’s moves:
PITTSBURGH STEELERS 2025 NFL DRAFT PICKS
? Pittsburgh 1st Round Pick
? Pittsburgh 2nd Round Pick
? Pittsburgh 3rd Round Pick
? Pittsburgh 4th Round Pick
OR Houston Texans 6th Round Pick (via Kendrick Green trade)
If Justin Fields plays in over 50% of the team’s offensive snaps this season, the Steelers’ fourth-round pick goes to the Chicago Bears to complete that trade. If he plays 50% or less, it’ll be the sixth-round pick that the Steelers got from the Houston Texans in last year’s Kendrick Green trade. So far, Fields has played in 74% of the team’s offensive snaps, but that number should be expected to decline with Russell Wilson currently starting.
? Pittsburgh 5th Round Pick
OR Los Angeles Rams 5th Round Pick (via Kevin Dotson trade)
Pittsburgh will send the worse of these two picks to the Jets for Williams, leaving them with one fifth-round selection next April.
• The Steelers traded their sixth-round pick to the Rams in the Dotson swap.
• The Steelers sent their seventh-round to the Packers for Smith.
? Atlanta Falcons 7th Round Pick
? Denver Broncos 7th Round Pick
OR New Orleans Saints 7th Round Pick
OR Philadelphia Eagles 7th Round Pick
The Steelers will have two of these three coming to them courtesy of the Kenny Pickett trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and they will have the highest two of the four selections.
According to the current NFL standings, that would be the pick of the 2-7 Saints, followed by whichever of the three playoff teams exits first.
