11 Steelers Not Dressed vs. Eagles; 10 Available to Make 2021 Preseason Debuts

PHILADELPHIA — Ten Steelers players are dressed for the first time this preseason in advance of the team’s second game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Eleven players are not dressed and are expected to miss the game.

Defensive lineman Tyson Alualu, kicker Chris Boswell, inside linebacker Devin Bush, left guard Kevin Dotson, tight end Eric Ebron, strong safety Terrell Edmunds, tight end Pat Freiermuth, left tackle Chukwuma Okorafor, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and right guard Trai Turner are all dressed for the game after missing last Thursday’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

Dotson (ankle), Bush (ACL surgery), Freiermuth (shoulder) and Okorafor (back) were dealing with injuries while the rest were veterans that were held out.

Tackle Zach Banner (ACL surgery), cornerback Joe Haden, defensive lineman Cam Heyward, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Benny Snell Jr. (undisclosed), defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt and outside linebacker T.J. Watt will all miss their second straight game.

Running back Kalen Ballage (lower body), defensive back Antoine Brooks Jr. (hamstring), and wide receivers Ray-Ray McCloud (right knee) and James Washington (right knee) will miss the game against the Eagles after suiting up against the Cowboys.

Mason Rudolph is expected to start at quarterback in place of Roethlisberger, with James Pierre filling in for Haden at outside corner and Art Maulet replacing Brooks in the slot, Joe Haeg in for Banner at right tackle, Melvin Ingram for Watt at outside linebacker and Henry Mondeaux for Heyward on the defensive line.

Kickoff between the Steelers and Eagles is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
