40 Former Steelers Make 2025 UFL Opening Rosters

Forty former members of the Pittsburgh Steelers have made the opening rosters for the 2025 United Football League season, which starts on Friday. The UFL is beginning its second season, after forming in 2024 as a merger of the USFL and XFL.
The league will once again have eight teams, in Arlington, Houston and San Antonio, Texas; Birmingham, Alabama; Detroit, Michigan; St. Louis, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee and Washington, D.C.
The season will kick off with an 8 p.m. game on Friday, featuring St. Louis at Houston. That game will be broadcast on FOX. San Antonio is at Arlington at 4 p.m. on Saturday on FOX. Sunday will feature a doubleheader on ESPN, with Michigan at Memphis at noon and Birmingham at D.C. at 3 p.m.
The 10-week regular season will run through June 1, with conference championships on June 8 and the UFL championship on June 14.
