Report: Ravens RBs J.K. Dobbins, Mark Ingram Tested Positive for COVID-19

Baltimore Ravens running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins have tested positive for COVID-19, and will be placed on the COVID-19 reserve list later on Monday, according to a report by Mike Garafalo of NFL Network.

A positive test will automatically keep both backs out of action at least 10 days, ruling them out for Baltimore’s Week 12 trip to Pittsburgh.

It’s unclear if there are additional Ravens player positives in addition to Dobbins and Ingram. Tracing of their close contacts could exclude additional players from participating in football activities for five days, which could result in the game, currently scheduled for Thursday night at Heinz Field, being pushed back.

Ingram was expected to be the Ravens’ lead back this season, but has missed extensive time due to injury. He has 232 yards on 57 carries over eight games (seven starts). Dobbins, a second-round rookie out of Ohio State, has stepped up in his absence with 380 yards on 72 carries in 10 games.

With both players sidelined, third-year back Gus Edwards should be expected to start against Pittsburgh. Edwards has been the Ravens’ most prolific running back this season, even though he’s started just three games. He has 376 yards on 85 carries and three touchdowns.
