MINNEAPOLIS — Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin clarified that outside linebacker Alex Highsmith suffered a quad injury early in the second half of his team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.
Highsmith was originally announced has having a knee injury. He did not return to the game. Highsmith’s father, Sam Highsmith, said on Twitter that he only suffered a bruise.
Another tough one! At least Big Ben made it interesting in the 2nd half. Thanks to all of you who have reached out. Alex will be fine. Just a bad bruise! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/ftC5RBGPtB
