Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the media Monday that Lamar Jackson playing this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers is “less likely” than in those to come, and the team signed speedy wideout DeSean Jackson to its active roster after adding veteran passer Brett Hundley to its practice squad earlier in the day.

It’s looking like the Steelers will be facing third-year understudy signal-caller Tyler Huntley, who helped Baltimore to a come-from-behind triumph against Denver on Sunday. He operated a 16-play, 91-yard scoring drive on the Ravens’ final series after Jackson left earlier in the contest with a knee injury.

Harbaugh said that Jackson will be “week to week” with the ailment.

Huntley, a former undrafted free agent, had a final stat line against the Broncos showed 27 completions on 32 passing attempts and 187 yards through the air. He also scampered for 41 yards on 10 rushes.

Jackson missed the last four games of the schedule in 2021 with an ankle injury, which meant Huntley also started Baltimore’s last meeting with Pittsburgh, last year’s regular-season finale. Ben Roethlisberger’s clutch fourth-down pass to Ray-Ray McCloud set the Steelers up for the winning field goal in a 16-13 overtime decision and also sent Pittsburgh to the postseason.

Hundley spent some time on the Ravens’ roster earlier this year, signing in May and being released in August. His return adds a veteran presence to a position room that also includes undrafted rookie Anthony Brown. Hundley has appeared in 18 career games, all but three of which were with Green Bay.

DeSean Jackson debuted with Baltimore in Week 9 against New Orleans. He was targeted twice and had a one grab for 16 yards before departing with a hamstring injury. He also played against Jacksonville and Denver, totaling four catches for 84 yards.

The experienced pass-catcher has played the Steelers four times and averages 4.5 receptions and 59.3 yards against Pittsburgh.
