Baltimore Ravens DT Calais Campbell Out vs Steelers

Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Calais Campbell is expected to miss his team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, according to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Campbell had originally been listed as questionable to play in the game with a knee injury, but is now expected to be held out.

Campbell will join quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) and cornerback Marcus Peters (calf), who have already been ruled out. Defensive back Geno Stone (hamstring) and tight end Nick Boyle (illness) are questionable.

Campbell is a two-time All-Pro and one of the top players in the Baltimore front seven. He had a game-changing play in the first game between the teams in Week 14, when he blocked a Chris Boswell field goal in what became a two-point Ravens win.

Brent Urban is listed as Campbell’s backup. The eighth-year vet has played in 14 games this season and has 16 tackles and one sack. He has played 90 games and made 31 starts in his NFL career.

The Ravens can be eliminated from contention for the AFC North with a loss and a Cincinnati Bengals win over the Buffalo Bills this weekend. Baltimore has already clinched a playoff spot. If either the Ravens win or the Bengals lose, that will set up a winner-take-all game between the two teams in Week 18.
