? Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson reacted to Caitlin Clark’s first contract in the WNBA as the first overall pick. It’s a four-year, $338,056 deal for Clark. Essentially practice squad money in the NFL. Clark will make a hefty amount in lucrative endorsements, however.
“These ladies deserve so much more… Praying for the day ??????,” Wilson wrote on X.

? Daniel Valente of The Score posted a throwback clip of former Steelers wide receiver and return specialist Dri Archer in a preseason game against the New York Giants in 2014. Archer, a third-round pick out of Toledo in 2014 who ran a 4.26 at the NFL Combine, never panned out with Pittsburgh and was released in November of 2015.
Archer had two short stints with the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills in 2016 before flaming out in the NFL.
The NFL draft always makes me remember past obscure Steelers selections like when Dri Archer nearly equalled his entire NFL yardage output on this one 46-yard catch in his preseason debut. pic.twitter.com/Iwc5nKiFHb

? Steel City Star pointed out that the Steelers had an interest in selecting North Carolina State wide receiver Torry Holt at 13th overall in the 1999 NFL Draft, but with the St. Louis Rams trading for running back Marshall Faulk, it effectively eliminated any chance they had of drafting Holt. St. Louis selected Holt at 6th overall. The Steelers ended up drafting Louisiana Tech wide receiver Troy Edwards at 13th overall.

For the Steelers, it effectively eliminates any chance they had of drafting Torry Holt.
Steelers had interest in drafting Holt at 13 but, thanks to the trade, the Rams no longer needed a RB so they picked Holt at 6. pic.twitter.com/eGPOhlWZDS
