Steelers Sights & Sounds: Seumalo Back at Practice, Russ Still Limited
Steelers Sights & Sounds: Isaac Seumalo returns to practice. Russell Wilson remains limited.
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin opened the door for a return for left guard Isaac Seumalo this week, and the veteran took a step forward on Wednesday, taking part in his first practice since suffering a pec injury in the final week of preseason practices.
Seumalo wasn’t wearing pads for the full-up Wednesday session, but he seems to be trending toward a return in less than the four weeks he was initially expected to miss.
Russell Wilson continues to be a limited participant in practice. During an individual period on Wednesday, he threw flat-footed while Justin Fields and Kyle Allen worked on roll-outs, suggesting he still has a ways to go before he is ready to return.
Roman Wilson was being coached hard by Zach Azzanni during individual drills and he could very well make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
On the offensive line, Broderick Jones was back at right tackle, working behind Troy Fautanu, in at least one drill.
