Aaron Rodgers Has Preferred Team for 2025 — And It’s Not the Steelers
Soon-to-be free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has been linked to the Steelers, reportedly has a preferred team in 2025.

Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan indicated at his NFL Scouting Combine press conference that the quarterback position is their priority going into the beginning of free agency–and all options are currently open. On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Aaron Rodgers has named the Los Angeles Rams as his preferred team to play for in 2025.
Rodgers, a California native, will be looking for another new home after a disappointing stint with the New York Jets. He will be on his third season in four seasons.
According to reports, he will also look to bring his long-time receiver Davante Adams once he is a free agent. Adams was adamant about reuniting with Rodgers last season and likely would follow his quarterback to LA.
Rodgers has been linked to the Steelers multiple times going back as far as 2022 after Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement. Most recently, he has been linked as an option as the Steelers are looking to solidify the position for the 2025 season.

The Steelers got a good look at Rodgers last season when the Jets visited Acrisure Stadium last season for a Sunday Night Football matchup. It was a night to forget for Rodgers, who now holds a 2-2 record against the Steelers. He tossed two interceptions to Steelers slot corner Beanie Bishop in a 37-15 defeat. Afterward, he graciously signed the footballs for Bishop.
Rodgers will turn 42 during the season as he seeks to try to get one more Super Bowl ring before concluding his Hall of Fame career.
