Acrisure Stadium Ranked 10th-Best in NFL
Acrisure Stadium was named the 10th-best stadium in the NFL in a ranking of all 30 home venues by The Athletic published on Monday.
The poll of NFL beat writers ranked every stadium, and newer domed stadiums owned the top spots, with U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota coming in first and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles following right behind in second.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (fourth), Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (seventh), Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (eighth) all also finished in the top ten.
Two historic stadiums with sentimental ties โ Green Bayโs Lambeau Field (third) and Kansas Cityโs Arrowhead Stadium (sixth) were also in the top group.
Of modern outdoor stadiums, Acrisure Stadium came in behind only Lumen Field in Seattle (fifth) and Empower Field in Denver (ninth.)
Writing about Acrisure Stadium, Jon Machota highlighted its location along the Ohio River in downtown Pittsburgh as a positive. The stadium, then known as Heinz Field, also finished 10th in the 2020 version of the survey.
The Steelers were voted as having the nicest stadium in the AFC North, with M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore 11th, Cleveland Browns Stadium 19th and Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati 27th.
The Washington Commanders and FedEx Field were a dominant choice for last place, with 27 of the 30 ballots picking them in the bottom five and 25 of the 30 picking D.C. last. A new stadium is near the top of the to-do list for new Commanders owner Josh Harris.
Meanwhile, the Steelers will be on the lookout for keeping up with the Joneses. The Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars are all embarking on massive renovations of their stadiums, while the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans are in various stages of replacing their existing buildings. The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers are both also said to be angling for new digs, thought their plans have not yet been finalized.
