Another Steelers Player Injured in Practice on Friday
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson suffered his second injury of the season.
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered yet another injury during practice on Friday, when defensive tackle Montravius Adams was listed on the team’s injury report with a knee injury. Adams was limited in practice on Friday and is listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s Week 7 game against the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football.
Adams is the third Steelers player to unexpectedly pop up on the injury report this week. Running back Najee Harris missed practice with an unexplained rib injury on Wednesday and wide receiver Roman Wilson suffered a hamstring injury during practice on Thursday. Harris returned to practice in full on Thursday and Friday and will play against the Jets. Wilson was a limited participant again on Friday and is questionable.
Adams has been the fourth Steelers defensive lineman in the rotation, working behind starters Cam Heyward, Larry Ogunjobi and Keeanu Benton. If Adams is unable to play, Isaiahh Loudermilk and Dean Lowry would be candidates to see more playing time in sub packages. The Steelers do not really have another player with extensive nose tackle experience beyond Benton.
