Antonio Brown Claims NFL Return with Ravens

Former Steelers WR Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown claimed that he is getting another chance to play in the NFL. In a recent Twitter post, the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver claimed to be signing with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have not said anything in regard to signing the former All-Pro receiver but it is safe to assume this is just another one of Brown’s antics.

“Excited to return to the NFL this year. #RavensFlock,” wrote Brown.

Baltimore addressed their receiver room this offseason in an attempt to sign quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term extension. Jackson and the Ravens eventually agreed to an extension that will keep the former MVP in Baltimore for another five years.

The Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. and drafted Zay Flowers with pick No. 22 in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The last time that Brown appeared in an NFL game was in Week 17 of 2021 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited the New York Jets. Brown famously removed his shoulder pads and jersey before exiting the field during the third quarter of that game.

Once on a Hall of Fame trajectory, the troubled receiver has been in the national spotlight for many different reasons in the past few years.

In March, Brown became an owner of the Albany Empire of the Arena Football League. Brown was escorted off of the field during the Empire’s opening game last week. Earlier this week a Florida judge issued an arrest warrant for the 34-year-old over unpaid child support.

Brown did respond with a video of him paying the unpaid child support in which the amount exceeded $33,000.

Brown’s history of causing chaos everywhere that he goes all but ended a once-great career. Nobody can disrespect and walk over as many prestigious organizations, owners, and players as Brown did and continue to earn opportunities. Do not look too much into this post as Brown is just on another one of his social media trips.
