Burns is set to become an unrestricted free agent this off-season after the team declined his fifth-year option back in May of last year. It would appear that Burns is trying to set himself up to make the most money possible on the open market by signing with the sport’s premier agency.
Rosenhaus has represented some the NFL’s biggest stars, including Terrell Owens, Warren Sapp, Rob Gronkowski and former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Rosenhaus represents three current Steelers in nose tackle Javon Hargrave, safety Sean Davis and nickel Mike Hilton. Hargrave and Davis are also set to become free agents this off-season.
A first round pick in the 2016 NFL draft out of the University of Miami, Burns has played 58 games over four season with the Steelers, recording four career interceptions and 27 passes defended.
