Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh announced Wednesday that rookie wideout will miss “a number of weeks” with a groin injury suffered on Tuesday.

Harbaugh is hopeful that Bateman will be able to return for the Ravens’ season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sept. 13.
John Harbaugh said he's "still hopeful" about WR Rashod Bateman playing in the season opener but also pointed out how he's not going to give specific timelines to injuries because it's getting too close to the start of the season— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) August 11, 2021
Picked in the first round of April’s draft out of Minnesota, Bateman was chosen to provide another weapon for Jackson, as they continue to try and remedy their inconsistent passing game.
The Big Ten Receiver of the Year in 2019, Bateman caught 147 passes for 2,395 yards and 19 touchdowns over his three seasons with the Golden Gophers.
