Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been playing plenty of golf since his retirement earlier this year, and he will have an opportunity to show his game off at a pretty significant event this week.

Roethlisberger will play in Icons Series 2022, a competitive team matchplay tournament involving some of the biggest names in sports pitting Team USA against Team Rest of the World (ROTW), this Thursday and Friday at Liberty National Golf Course.

In addition to Roethlisberger, Team USA will be captained by former major champion Fred Couples and also feature Michael Phelps, Michael Strahan, J.R. Smith, Andrew Whitworth, Robbie Gould, John Smoltz, Marshall Faulk, Reggie Bush, Golden Tate, Michael Vick and Brice Butler.

While Team USA is certainly not light on football players, Team ROTW has far more diverse backgrounds.

Captained by former major champion Ernie Els, Team ROTW features many international stars, such as boxer Canelo Alvarez and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

This week’s event will be the debut of the Icons Series, which is looking to host future unannounced events in other parts of the world as well.

If you are looking to watch Roethlisberger tee it up, portions of Friday’s action will be streamed on Peacock from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Roethlisberger is also offering his fans the opportunities to win a free ticket to the event.
