The Cincinnati Bengals have designated defensive end Sam Hubbard to return from injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.
Hubbard has missed the last three games with an elbow injury suffered against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 11.

He now begins a three-week period to practice with the team prior to being added back to the 53-man roster.
While he can be activated at any point within that time frame, but it is unclear if he will be healthy enough to return to action when the Bengals visit Heinz Field this Sunday.
Selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, Hubbard started the first five games of the season for Cincinnati prior to his injury. He has 15.5 career sacks, 20 tackles-for-loss and three forced fumbles over three seasons.
