The Pittsburgh Steelers pretty much crushed the Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff hopes on Sunday with a 44-38 shootout win at Paycor Stadium. At 4-8, the Bengals are on the verge of a losing season, and it’s not sitting well with Bengals legend Chad Johnson. He was actually in tears when speaking about the loss and Cincinnati’s abysmal season with Shannon Sharpe on the Nightcap podcast.

“We gonna be alright,” Johnson said to Sharpe through tears.

“No y’all aint,” Sharpe snapped back.

Sharpe then started to unleash on the Bengals and the city of Cincinnati.

“You should be crying,” Sharpe said. “Man, Ocho said we’re going to be alright . . . now everybody (in Cincinnati) doing nothing but eating chili and hot dogs.”

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver JaMarr Chase have lit it up this year, but the defense has been horrendous. The Bengals have four losses this season when scoring 33+ points. The rest of the NFL has one loss when scoring 33 points or more. It’s honestly surprising that defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo hasn’t been fired yet.

If the Cincinnati can figure things out on defense, there could be hope for Johnson’s Bengals. But history does suggest otherwise.

On Inside the NFL, Johnson made a bet with former Steelers free safety Ryan Clark that if the Bengals lost to the Steelers, he would not eat McDonalds for the rest of the year. Luckily for Johnson, he’ll only have to go a month without eating his beloved McDonalds.

Johnson and former Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison are supposed to have an MMA-style fight in New Orleans during Super Bowl week. To say the least, that should be something else.
