Best Bets NFL Preseason Week 2: Steelers vs. Bills
Steelers fans will get their first glimpse of QB Russell Wilson tonight as Pittsburgh takes on the Buffalo Bills in NFL Preseason Week 2. Kickoff is set for 7:01 p.m. ET at Acrisure Stadium, and the weather report could be better.
The current kickoff prognostications have a 66% chance of rain and possible thunderstorms.
We’ve been told that Wilson and the starting offense will play “roughly” four series tonight, but will rain change those plans?

Without further ado, here are my best bets for the Steelers vs. Bills in this NFL Preseason Week 2 matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers -1.5 (FanDuel)
FanDuel Sportsbook opened this line with the Steelers favored by 1.5 points. Early bettors bought Pittsburgh up to -5.5 favorites by Thursday afternoon. Since Thursday, the Bills received buyback from the market, with the line down to -1.5 Steelers.
Pittsburgh HC Mike Tomlin announced that QB Russell Wilson is finally healthy and will see significant action. Tonight is Russ’ first opportunity to cook, giving the Steelers a considerable QB depth advantage.
Buffalo Bills HC Sean McDermott announced yesterday that the Bills starters will play tonight. That late-week Bills buyback makes sense, but Allen’s impact is likely minimal. Last week against the Chicago Bears, Allen threw only three passes.
Pittsburghers are all too familiar with the Bills’ depth QBs, Mitch Trubisky and Ben DiNucci. Compare those two to Justin Fields and Kyle Allen, and the Steelers are an easy bet against the spread this week.

Game Side Under 38.5 (BetMGM)
You have to handicap the weather.
Neither Mike Tomlin nor his Bills counterpart, Sean McDermott, will put their starters at risk during a preseason game. Rain and a treacherous Acrisure Stadium playing surface will likely force vanilla offensive gameplans to skim milk bland.
And neither of these offenses showed much production last week.
Led by Justin Fields, the Steelers’ offense managed 12 points against Houston. The Bills put up a paltry two field goals versus the Bears.
Look for a slow game snooze fest if the rain comes. If it doesn’t, I still don’t see the Bills or the Steelers tipping their offensive hands in NFL Preseason Week 2.
