Public Relations Official Brian McCarthy announced on Wednesday and the Bills-Patriots will not be delayed.
The Bengals and Ravens matchup is the final game to be announced and that will be played at 1 p.m. However, with the Damar Hamlin tragedy still fresh in the minds of players, there was a very legitimate question about if the Bills would play the Patriots on Sunday. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, there are no discussions of that game not being played.
That game is hugely significant to the Steelers’ chances of making the playoffs, as the Patriots must lose to the Bills in order for Pittsburgh to earn a playoff berth. With the game seeming likely to happen, it will be an emotional and tough day for teams all around the league, especially the Bills.
As for the Bills-Bengals game, there is still no concrete solution on how that will be played out. Some solutions include playing the game, while others include altering the playoff formula so the game does not take significance. It will be a tough situation to guide, as nothing is perfect for seeding and playoff positions in this situation.
