Broadcasters Revealed for Steelers Season Opener vs. Falcons

Pittsburgh Steelers Atlanta Falcons Fox

The broadcasters have been revealed for the Pittsburgh Steelers’s season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The Steelers will have No. 2 Fox broadcast team of Joe Davis, Greg Olsen and Pam Oliver for their season opener.

That’s a new team for Fox this season. Olsen had previously been on the top team with Kevin Burkhardt, and called Super Bowl LVIII, before being bumped to the second pair after Fox hired Tom Brady to start calling games. Olsen had been with the top Fox team since 2022, when he and Burkhardt replaced Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, who moved over to ABC’s Monday Night Football.

Olsen, 39, is a Paterson, New Jersey native. He played football at Miami and was a first-round draft pick for the Chicago Bears in 2007. He played in 14 NFL seasons with the Bears, Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks. His best seasons were from 2014-16 wit the Panthers, when he was a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. He retired in 2021 and immediately joined Fox as a broadcaster.

Davis, 36, is Fox’s lead play-by-play man for Major League Baseball and calls college basketball games in addition to his NFL work. He also calls Los Angeles Dodgers games for Spectrum SportsNet LA, where he replaced legendary broadcaster Vin Scully. He has been with Fox since 2014.

Oliver has been with Fox since 1995, covering the NFL as one of the network’s top sideline reporters. She has also covered the NBA for TNT and worked for ESPN.

This is the first of three games on Fox for the Steelers this season. They’ll also be on Fox in Week 15 at the Philadelphia Eagles and Week 16 at the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers will have games on six networks this regular season, with eight games on CBS, three on Fox, two on NBC, one on ABC, one on Amazon Prime and one on Netflix.
