Broderick Jones Unleashes on Fans after Loss to Colts
Pittsburgh Steelers second-year offensive tackle Broderick Jones unleashed on X after Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Jones, who’s not very active on social media, clapped back at multiple fans for criticizing his performance against Indianapolis.
“Come take my spot let’s see what you got my boy,” Jones said to one fan, who deleted his initial tweet.
“😂lol bro do you even know football?” Jones said in another reply to a fan.
One fan wrote, “Broderick Jones is looking more like a bust each and every snap.”
Jones replied back, “lol you don’t know sh*t about football I’m convinced.”
In total, Jones fired off nine tweets to fans on X. Most of it was light-hearted banter.

Jones had a completely different reaction in Denver when he got benched, taking ownership of committing three penalties in six snaps that killed a drive.
“Shit, I played bad,” he told reporters. “That’s all it is at the end of the day. You fuck up, you get pulled.”
“They took me in the first round for a reason,” he added. “I never lost confidence and I don’t feel like they lost confidence in me.”
Jones was selected by the Steelers at 14th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Georgia. After a solid rookie campaign, Jones has struggled mightily this season. A right elbow injury could be the reason for his subpar play, but he’s definitely took a step back.
One thing is clear, this is the first time that Jones has faced adversity in his NFL career. He probably didn’t deal with much adversity at Georgia or even in high school.
It appears the fanbase is getting under Jones’ skin by calling him a bust. It’s best for Jones to just stay off social media and block out the noise. The way he dealt with adversity in Denver is the better approach.
