Cleveland Browns defensive back Damarious Randall was ejected from his team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Steelers rookie wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Johnson was carted off the field for evaluation for a potential concussion. He was seen bleeding from his ear on the sideline.

Johnson had been elevated to a starting role after the Steelers lost fellow wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to a concussion on a similar hit in the first half.

James Washington, Johnny Holton and Tevin Jones are the only three remaining healthy wide receivers for the Steelers. Jones was elevated from the practice squad on Thursday when Ryan Switzer was placed on injured reserve.
