Two Cleveland Browns were cited for street racing early on Tuesday, just as the team began its preparations to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opening round of the NFL playoffs on Sunday.

Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills, Jr. and wide receiver Rashard Higgins were both cited early Tuesday morning, ESPN reported.

The pair were pulled over in Westlake, Ohio on Tuesday morning and each fined $124, according to police records. Westlake is a Cleveland suburb north and west of the Browns’ practice facility in Berea. Tuesday was an off day for the Browns, who will begin practice on Wednesday.

“We are aware of the incident, will gather more information and handle this matter appropriately,” a team spokesman said.

Wills and Higgins are both starters for Cleveland, with Higgins replacing star Odell Beckham Jr. since the latter’s ACL injury in the fall. Wills was Cleveland’s top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
