While Williams will not require surgery, the shoulder injury will keep him out indefinitely with a chance to return later this season. He has yet play a game this season after suffering the injury in training camp.
Selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft our of LSU, Williams started 12 games for the Browns last season, allowing a 61.3% completion percentage and no touchdowns.
The Browns defense has struggled in Williams’ absence, allowing the third-most passing yards in the league (1,482) and the second-most passing touchdowns (12). Cleveland does have six interceptions already this season, which is tied for the third-most in the NFL.
