Browns Star Nick Chubb Out vs. Steelers with Knee Injury

Steelers Nick Chubb

PITTSBURGH — Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb left the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will not return after a huge collision with Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Nick Chubb was running toward the Steelers goal line when Fitzpatrick approached him from the front. Cole Holcomb was running behind Chubb. Fitzpatrick appeared to slip as he hit the Cleveland running back, going low and hitting him on the left knee while Holcomb overtook him from behind.

Chubb and Fitzpatrick were both down on the field after the play, but Fitzpatrick quickly got back to his feet, while the Browns medical staff called for a cart to take Chubb off the field.

The Browns very quickly ruled Chubb out for the remainder of the game.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Chubb is an enormous part of the Cleveland offense. He has run for over 1,000 in each of the last five seasons. Slowing down the star was part of our Steelers keys to victory

Backup Jerome Ford, a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, replaced him. Ford scored a touchdown on the play after Chubb was injured, and also added a two-point conversion.

Pierre Strong Jr. is the only other running back on the Cleveland roster.
