Cam Heyward Says Quad Is ‘Fine,’ Full Participant at Steelers Practice

Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward said his quad injury is “fine before” practice Wednesday and was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice he needing helped off the field in the fourth quarter of the Steelers’ Week 8 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Fellow defensive lineman Tyson Alualu, who left the Ravens game in the first quarter with an MCL sprain, was one of four Steelers that did not practice fully due to injury on Wednesday, even though the team did not work out in pads, per the team’s pool video release.

Offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski, who was activated from injured reserve on Wednesday, still did not practice due to his pectoral injury.

Cornerback Mike Hilton was a limited participant. He’s been dealing with a shoulder injury that has caused him to miss the team’s last two games.

Defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was also limited with a previously unannounced ankle injury. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and center Maurkice Pouncey were given the day off.

Safety Jordan Dangerfield, who missed the Baltimore trip with a quad injury, was a full participant in Wednesday’s session.
