Did We Just Ask Chase Claypool His Last Question as a Steelers WR?

It’s possible I just asked Chase Claypool his last question as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And, holy crap, is it a dumb question. I love it.

Claypool was traded to the Chicago Bears Tuesday afternoon. News of the trade broke around 1:35 p.m.

Moments before that, at 1:07 p.m., I was inside the Steelers locker room for SteelersNow.com speaking with Mr. Claypool.

After a short scrum, I decided to ask one last question. It was extremely important.

Here it is, in all its glory.

Oh yes. Hard-hitting journalism, friends.

My favorite part of this clip isn’t even Claypool’s response to the question.

Watch Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth in the background.

As it begins, I say that I’m following up on the “biggest story of the year.”

Freiermuth is concerned. He’s locked onto the question.

…then we hit a left turn and it’s just about that celebratory dip Claypool received from Gunner Olszewski after the team’s win over the Buccaneers in Week 6.

He rolls his eyes and might even mouth “My god.”

You love to see it.

As expected, the dip didn’t sit favorably with Claypool.

“I had to go to the bathroom right away after,” Claypool said. “What do they call that, Gunner? When you have to go to the bathroom after you take a little dip?”

Gunner responds in the background.

“Yeah, it’s vulgar. It’s bad,” Claypool said. “But that’s what I had to do. So it was good. It was fun.”

There you have it. Thus concludes Claypool’s media obligations in the city of Pittsburgh.

I hope they sell Copenhagen in Chicago.
