The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line has lost a pair of stalwarts to retirement over the past two offseasons in Ramon Foster and Maurkice Pouncey.

While neither will suit up for Pittsburgh again, there is no denying impact they have had on the club’s current crop of offensive linemen.

That was made evident Monday, as current Steelers tackle Chukwuma Okorafor unveiled a pair of custom cleats paying homage to his former teammates.

The left shoe depicts Foster and reads “Greatness,” while the right honors Foster with the phrase “The Standard is the Standard.” Both cleats also read “Legends Live Forever.”

Okorafor commissioned local artist Carlee Annabella for the project, who has created custom pieces for Okorafor and other Steelers in the past, including JuJu Smith-Schuster and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

If Okorafor chooses to wear the custom cleats in an actual game, he would likely not do so until the “My Cause My Cleats” initiative later this season.
