Cincinnati Bengals Extended Zac Taylor Through 2026
After leading Cincinnati to its first Super Bowl appearance in over 30 years, the Bengals extended the contract of head coach Zac Taylor through the 2026 season.
Taylor led the Bengals to just a 6-25-1 record over his first two seasons, but piloted the team to its first division title in six years in 2021.
The team then went on to win two road playoff games on their way to Super Bowl LVI, which they had never done before.
Cincinnati also scored 460 points last year, the most in a single season in franchise history.
“Zac has come into the league and worked to develop the foundations for a winning program that can be successful over time,” Bengals president Mike Brown said Wednesday. “The fruits of Zac’s efforts were seen this year, and Zac is well-regarded by our players and coaches. I know the effort and passion Zac brings to the building and to our team, and I am pleased by his approach. And I think the city of Cincinnati sees him the way the players and I do. He’s brought excitement to the town and deserves credit and recognition for that.”
