Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett suffered a shoulder sprain and bicep strain in a car accident on Monday, Tom Pellissero of NFL Network reports.

Garrett was released from the hospital shortly after the crash, luckily suffering no life-threatening injuries. The shoulder and bicep injuries could keep Garrett out for a bit on the football field, however. There is no certainty if Garrett will be able to suit up in Cleveland’s upcoming matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

Myles Garrett suffered multiple lacerations as well during the crash that caused his vehicle to flip over. Still, Garrett and the passenger in the car with him at the time both suffered minimal injuries and were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the car accident.

The Browns released a statement after examining Garrett and issued a statement detailing the extent of his injuries. The shoulder and biceps injuries are the worst injuries he suffered from the ordeal. Garrett suffered no broken bones from the crash itself.

“Myles has sustained a shoulder sprain, biceps strain, minor lacerations as well as some bumps and bruises to various other body parts,” the statement read. “Myles didn’t suffer any fractures and has also cleared concussion protocol. Currently, our focus is on providing Myles the medical care needed for him to return to football activity.”

Garrett will work through the injuries to see if he could potentially suit up on Sunday against the Falcons.
