Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert speaks with the media, including Alan Saunders of Steelers Now, during his pre-draft press briefing at Heinz Field on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Colbert discussed Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger taking a pay cut to remain with the team for 2021 and his feeling that Roethlisberger’s actions inspired similar sacrifices from other Steelers players.

In addition to Roethlisberger, defensive lineman Tyson Alualu, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and inside linebacker Vince Williams agreed to reduced or below-market-value compensation to stay with the Steelers this offseason.
