Colts WR T.Y. Hilton Out vs. Steelers on Sunday

The Indianapolis Colts will be without their top offensive playmaker for Sunday’s game with the Steelers.

Colts head coach Frank Reich announced after practice on Friday that wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has an injured calf that will likely keep him out of action for the next three to four weeks.

Injuries have plagued Hilton, as he’s dealt with an injured groin, hamstring and now a calf. The groin injury caused him to miss Week 5 vs. Kansas City.

The absence of Hilton will negatively impact the Colts’ vertical passing game and likely have them rely more on running back Marlon Mack. In his absence, Colts wide receivers Chester Rogers, Parris Campbell and Zach Pascal will receive more snaps.

For the 2019 season, Hilton has 32 receptions for 360 yards (11.3 average) and five touchdowns.

Prior to the news of Hilton’s injury, the oddsmakers had the Colts as 1-point favorites for Sunday’s 1 p.m. kickoff from Heinz Field.
