The Steelers are working with a patchwork group at their linebacker spots after Kwon Alexander and Cole Holcomb went down for the year. Outside of Elandon Roberts, the team has found no answers there, as others have struggled. In an attempt to find someone else other than Mykal Walker, they went to Mark Robinson. But Robinson struggled, allowing a touchdown to Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox.

In the NFL’s newest Mic’d up segment, Cox and fellow tight end, Drew Ogletree, were caught having a conversation after the touchdown. They could not believe that the team lined Robinson up against Cox, who proceeded to dust him on a corner route and get wide open.

“They put 93 on you,” Ogletree questioned in disbelief.

But Cox saw it coming and knew it all the way.

“Man, I saw that and I said this is a touchdown all the way,” Cox said.

It was not Robinson’s best game, and Walker struggled for most of the game, too. That is why the team is talking about getting Myles Jack and Blake Martinez up and potentially ready to go. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin stated that it could be two dogs, one bone situation for those two players.

“Well, that’s going to be, as Mike (Tomlin) likes to say, the two dogs, one bone type deal,”Austin said. “We’re going to see how those guys practice and see who we feel best about this week, and then we’ll make a decision as we get closer to game day. They’re all going to get reps this week and we’ll make that decision a little closer to the end of the week.”

The Steelers have to find some answer there. Linebacker has become a weak point, but so will safety, as they will be short at least three guys, and potentially a fourth with Trenton Thompson. The team is not sure who will play back there, but it could be a combination of Elijah Riley, Patrick Peterson, Eric Rowe, Miles Killebrew, and Thompson.
